SUMMARY:NIAL Professional Learning Session Registration Closes
DESCRIPTION:The Office of TASC will be holding a 45-minute professional learning session about Nationally and Interstate Assessed Languages (NIAL) via Microsoft Teams on: \n\nThursday\, 23 February at 3:00PM\n\nDuring the session\, we will outline the purpose of Nationally and Interstate Assessed Languages (NIAL)\, the responsibilities of the school and TASC and the processes involved from student enrolment to sitting the exams. We encourage all TLOs to attend this professional learning so that they can build a profile of the students who are eligible to access this opportunity to have their language skills recognised. This is also a great opportunity to ask questions about these language qualifications. \nNIAL languages have the following benefits for students: \n\nThey are Level 3 courses and can attract a TE score (so they can contribute towards an ATAR)\nThey can contribute 15 credit points towards the TCE\nThey are a great opportunity for students to receive recognition of their language skills where they speak a language other than English at home.\n\nFor more information on NIAL\, please see the Nationally or Interstate Assessed Languages page on the TASC website. \nPlease register for the session by completing this Registration Form. Registrations will close 15 February 2023.
