Schools are required to report final internal ratings for students to TASC with the reporting and verification processes to ensure that students receive accurate course results on time.

Course teachers determine final internal ratings for each criterion and provide these to individual students. These final internal ratings must be known and signed by the student before being submitted to TASC. Students need to be informed that they can request a review of their ratings and who they can speak to about this (a teacher or a central contact person, depending on each school’s policy).

Submitting Internal Ratings to TASC

Internal ratings submission opens on Monday 16 October. Catholic and Independent schools submit their ratings via TRACS. DECYP schools via SARIS (feeding into TRACS). See Final internal rating submission and verification for information and resources for the internal ratings submission process.

Submission Deadlines

Internal ratings are due to TASC by 5:00 pm:

  • Levels 3 and 4 internal results – Friday 3 November
  • Levels 1, 2 and Preliminary internal results – Friday 17 November.

Use TRACS reports to perform initial quality control checks on submissions before the due date/s. Two TRACS reports are available to run at this stage: ‘Missing internal ratings’ report and the ‘Rating Verification’ report.

Verification of Internal Ratings Period

  • Internal ratings verification period for Levels 3 and 4 courses: Monday 6 November – Friday 10 November
  • Internal ratings verification period for Levels 1, 2 and Preliminary courses: Monday 20 November – Friday 24 November.

Schools must run Rating Verification reports in TRACS during the verification period to confirm that all entered ratings are correct.

If corrections for any of the internal ratings are required, it is the school’s responsibility to ensure that the corrections are made before the verification period closing date. See Final internal rating submission and verification for information about the verification process.
