If your external assessment result for any Level 3 or 4 course is different from what you expected, you can apply for an administrative review.
An administrative review checks that your result was processed correctly. It does not involve re-marking assessment responses or reviewing marking judgements.
You can only request a review for an external assessment you completed. If you received a derived exam rating, there are no responses or marks to verify.
What is checked?
As part of the review, TASC verifies that:
- all responses have been marked
- marks were accurately recorded
- totals were correctly calculated
- results were correctly processed.
TASC will contact you with the outcome of the review.
Reviews are generally completed in the order applications are received. Priority may be given to reviews for students whose university admission timelines require an earlier outcome. During busy periods, it may take several weeks to complete all reviews.
Dates and fees
- Applications open: 21 December 2026
- Applications close: 28 February 2027.
Fee: $19.60 per external assessment review. Separate fees apply where a course has multiple external assessments.
The fee will be refunded if the review results in a correction to your result. If a correction is required, replacement results documents will be provided at no additional cost.
