Information about the services available to help you understand, check or review your results, including result queries, administrative reviews, written exam inspections and obtaining copies of your exam responses.

There are no additional review processes available beyond the services described on this page.

If you have a question about your results, you submit a query using the Results Query form.

When to use a result query:

Submit a query if:

  • you have not received a result for a course you studied this year.
  • your internal assessment result does not match the result provided to you by your school.
  • you have other questions about your course results or results documents.

The FAQs about student results or video Understanding Year 11-12 ratings and awards may help you understand your results documents.

When NOT to use a result query:

Result queries are not intended to consider issues that may have contributed to the result you achieved, including circumstances that may have affected your course results or exam performance.

Once results have been issued, it is generally not possible to review, investigate or resolve matters that were not raised at the time they occurred.

Issues arising during your studies or an exam were required to be raised with your school’s TASC Liaison Officer or the Exam Supervisor as soon as possible and before results were issued. If an illness, injury or emergency affected your performance, an application for a derived exam rating was required at the time. Applications for derived ratings close two (2) business days after the external assessment.

Please do not submit multiple result queries about the same matter. We receive a large volume of enquiries following the release of results and will respond to your query as quickly as possible.

TASC does not manage university admissions or determine Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) eligibility.

The University of Tasmania, as the Tasmanian Tertiary Admissions Centre, determines which courses can be counted towards an ATAR.

University entry requirements vary between courses and institutions. If you have questions about course entry requirements, admissions decisions, applications or course preferences, contact the relevant university directly.

See TASC’s webpage about University entrance & ATAR for information about:

  • understanding ATAR eligibility and university entrance
  • comparing higher education courses across Australia
  • exploring VET study, training and career pathways.

If your external assessment result for any Level 3 or 4 course is different from what you expected, you can apply for an administrative review.

An administrative review checks that your result was processed correctly. Your external assessment is not remarked. A fee applies.

For more information, see External assessment administrative reviews.

If your written exam result for an eligible course is different from what you expected, you can request to inspect your written exam materials.

An inspection allows you to view your exam paper and make a submission to the Marking Coordinator about specific marking decisions. The exam paper is not remarked in full. A fee applies.

For more information and eligible courses, see Written exam inspections.

You can request to receive a copy of your exam responses (originals are retained) to be provided in the first week of July the year after the exam. A fee applies. Complete the Request for copy of written exams to order a copy of your exam responses.

If you just want to see the exam questions, all previous written exam papers are published on the TASC website after the exams are held. See Previous exam papers or go to the Course page and select “Past exam papers”.

Your course teachers or school’s TASC Liaison Officer can help you with any questions about your assessment and achievement.

See the Your results hub page for all results information in one place.
