We look forward to receiving your nominations.

To be eligible for nomination a student must:

  • be nominated by an employer, teacher, principal or industry representative
  • be enrolled in a Tasmanian school or college
  • have achieved their TCE by that December of their school year
  • demonstrate outstanding achievement in VET as part of their TCE program.

All nominations must be based on one (1) VET qualification only and nominees MUST achieve their TCE otherwise they will not be eligible for an award. This will be checked when student results are released in December.

The Principal of your school must endorse all nominations.

Each school may select up to three nominees for an award per industry (training package area). It is the responsibility of the Principal to ensure that this requirement is met when considering whether to endorse nominations.

There is no limit on how many students can be nominated by each school, so long as the school does not exceed the maximum of three nominations per industry area.

Award recipients will be selected by a TASC appointed panel of experts in the vocational education and training sector. There will be up to 30 award recipients selected from the total nominees by the panel.

All nominated students will notified about the outcome of their nomination by mid-January. Schools will be notified if a student is a recipient of an Award through communication with the school’s Principal and TASC Liaison Officer (TLO).
