Student exchange in Tasmania
Organisations may apply to TASC to register as a student exchange organisation. TASC has responsibility for the approval and quality assurance of Student Exchange Organisations (SEOs) under the Tasmanian Assessment, Standards and Certification Act 2003 (TASC Act).
Organisations that seek approval are subject to both the TASC Act and the National guidelines for the operation of international secondary student exchange programs in Australia.
In Tasmania, the registration period for organisations is for up to five years, after which re-registration is required. Student exchange organisations applying for reregistration should do so at least six months prior to their registration period expiring.
