A Student Declaration must be completed by all senior secondary students who commence studying one or more TASC-accredited courses at Level 2, 3 or 4*. This might be in Year 11, 12 or 13 (or in Year 10, if you are enrolled in a pre-Year 11 TASC-accredited course).
From 2026, you only need to complete the Declaration once (rather than annually) during your senior secondary studies.
When you complete the Student Declaration you are:
- providing a personal email address where TASC will send a digital copy of your results when results are issued in December
- providing identity and demographic information, including a phone number in case TASC needs to contact you
- declaring you will comply with the TASC academic integrity requirements
- declaring that you will comply with the TASC external assessment rules (this applies to students who are studying any TASC-accredited course that has an external assessment, including a folio, practical, presentation, oral, display or written exam)
- confirming that you understand how your assessment and results information is used.
TASC is committed to protecting information collected through this process and the handling of data in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Act 2004. See how TASC manages information protection and access.
How to complete your Student Declaration
You will need:
- your TASC ID (talk to your school if you do not know your TASC ID)
- your identity and demographic information, including your postal address
- a personal email address you can access after your senior secondary studies (noting that your school email account will be closed after you leave school). A digital copy of your results will be sent to your personal email address.
- the How to… complete a Student Declaration guide.
Complete the declaration process by filling in the online Student Declaration form.
Updating your email address for results
If you need to update the email address you provided in your Student Declaration at any point during the year, you can do this using the link below:
*Students exempt from completing a Student Declaration
From April 2026, students studying ONLY Level 1 and Preliminary courses are exempt from completing a Student Declaration.
Schools can see which students who are exempt from completing a Declaration in the TRACS Student Details Report (Excel). Principals no longer need to complete the Student Declaration Exemption – Statutory Declaration form.
